Learn about the history and legal requirements of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and the Oregon Indian Child Welfare Act (ORICWA) and why these laws are needed today. Understand the intent of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and the differences and protections involved in an ICWA case and a non-ICWA case. Learn how to cultivate relationships with a Tribe and enhance their understanding of why cultural engagement is important for Tribal children.
