As we approach transition to school time it is natural to have quite a bit of stress. In fact, changing from summer schedules and to the stressors of school can feel like your whole world is getting turned upside down (again). During this time, it is important to focus on how to have strategies in place so that your own self-care can happen (or continue or begin). This workshop will be discussing how secondary traumatic stress impacts caregivers, how to know if/when it's happening to you, and how to create real life strategies for implementation of self-care. Without self-care (in all its various forms) it is not possible to keep your own mental health and wellness intact while caring for others who are struggling.
