Trauma impacts children and adolescents in profound ways especially depending on the age and stage of development the event/s occurred. Interoception is an eighth sensory system involved in developing our autonomic functions as well as how our body is feeling emotions in a given moment. This workshop will consider the definitions of interoception, the functions thereof and signs and symptoms to look for. Included will be strategies and ideas for intervention that support effective intervention planning.
